Their size makes them easy to swallow, but they can also be chewed. Research has shown that D-Pearls have a high absorption in the body. Vitamin D plays a role for absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the body, which contributes to the maintenence of bones and teeth, normal muscle function and a healthy immune system. For men and woman 60 years and older: Vitamin D helps to reduce the risk of falling associated with postural instability and muscle weakness.
